A woman named Angelique Mukabera said she has gone through a lot difficulties after her husband abandoned her and their children. It was not easy for Angelique to raised her children because she is disabled woman. Nobody is willing to offer her a work but she did all what she could to take good care of her children.
Angelique became disabled at the age of 9. She was sick for so many years, her parents took her to the hospital and did all what they could for her to get well but it was all in vain again but she was not able to walk again. She grew up and due his disability she never had in her mind that she will get any man to marry. One day she met a man who proposed to her, she accepted it, they gave birth to four children.
She was very happy about her kids. Her neighbours kept telling her husband that he is so stupid to marry a disabled woman. The husband did not listen to them for quite some time but later he agreed with those people and abandoned them, he never returned back home. The woman was disturbed when the husband left them because the children were just babies.
She did not get any job to do and if she gets one she can’t leave them in the house and go to work. She took all the children to the road side to beg for money to feed them, Angelique was not having any other option that to do that. Her husband was staying at their neighbourhood but did not make any effort to help her in raising the children. She sometimes wonders how a man can be so wicked like that.
She doesn’t have a wheelchair because she used all the money she gets to provides her children’s needs. A time came when her children have to go school and she was not having enough money to pay their fees. Her eldest daughter decided to start sell tomatoes to help her other siblings to go to school. The girl said she wants to go back to school but due to the hardship there are going through, she can’t go back to school. Angelique said she will never forgive her husband, he has hurt them a lot by abandoning them and will never forgive him for doing that.
