Reports indicate that an NGO generously donated a substantial amount of money to support the well-building project in the village. However, the unethical chief viewed this opportunity as a means to misappropriate the funds for his personal gain.
A viral video captures the disgraceful chief, bound to a coconut tree, enduring severe lashes upon his exposed back. The footage, initially shared on Twitter by @RealOludah, is accompanied by the following caption:
“Village chief receives lashes from his community as a consequence of stealing funds designated for well construction. This can be seen as a just retribution for corruption and dishonesty. Do we consider our criminal justice system too lenient in corruption cases, or do we resort to these traditional methods of atonement?”
