According to Captain Smart’s investigative and roving journalist Akua Sarpomaa, a cripple has been beaten Severely at Weija with gun handle and cutlass.
Sarpomaa explained via telephone that, the cripple Couldn’t Afford 20 pesewas as payment to ease Himself at a public place of convenience. Due to his poor life, he resulted to easing himself in a polythene bag and dumping it on somebody’s bushy land.
Unfortunately, the land owner who is also a land guard had issued a warning that, if he catches anybody easing himself on his land, the person will suffer in his hands.
Yesterday, the land owner Went to his parcel of land to weed. He saw many polythene bags full of human excreta. Angrily he burnt down to clear the land, immediately he got down, a fresh polythene bag full of excreta was thrown onto the land. Unfortunately it landed on his head with the human excreta splashing in his face.
He quickly followed the direction where the polythene bag came from. He landed in the house of the cripple who accepted the blame of easing himself on his land because he don’t have just 20 pesewas to visit a public toilet.
The angry property owner started cutting him with his cutlass. As if that wasn’t enough, he went for his long gun and started beating the cripple mercilessly with the gun handle.
At a point, the cripple fainted as blood kept oozing from his bruised body. All his tenants were afraid to approach the scene. When the angry land owner left them, they carried the cripple in his wheelchair to the hospital.
The cripple is therefore looking for justice against the brutality.
